Martin Stewart

Rock It! is a project based programme that supports children and young people to form bands, learn how to play in groups, and learn new skills.

Rock It! has now been running for 3 years, and whether it is a day activity or an after school club, children and young people love the experience of creating music in a Rock style. 

​

The Rock It! project provides all the equipment required for these sessions, which include drum kits, electric guitars and amps, PA and mics as well as keyboards and percussion. Which provides the participants to experience the real feeling of playing in a band.

The Rock It! staff are lead by Martin Stewart, who has years of experience of working with young musicians and knowing how to get the best out of every person. All staff are DBS checked and insured, as well as being practicing musicians, bringing real world experience and knowledge to the project.

The Rock It! has had many successes, and often helps young people build their self-esteem by offering them support with their playing and offer performance opportunities. Additionally, pupils who have never played an instrument before, go on to learn in 1:1 lessons with a tutor.
